Throne Labs Secures Initial Close of $15 Million Series B to Expand Smart Restroom Infrastructure Nationwide

Brentwood Associates Leads Round to Accelerate Throne Labs’ Expansion Across Existing and New U.S. Markets

Throne Labs, a leading smart infrastructure company operating the largest network of connected public restrooms in the U.S., today announced the initial close of its $15 million Series B funding round. The investment, led by Brentwood Associates with participation from Uncorrelated Ventures, Dipalo Ventures, Rabil Ventures, and Arpinine Management, will fuel Throne’s continued national expansion following strong adoption in major metros including Washington, D.C., the Bay Area, Los Angeles, and Michigan. The company has opened additional capacity for new investors ahead of the final close.

According to The Public Toilet Index, the U.S. has only eight public restrooms for every 100,000 people. Throne Labs has built a network of smart, standalone restrooms designed to bring comfort, cleanliness, and dignity to users, while providing a turnkey service for cities. Throne units can be quickly deployed, are ADA-accessible and feature running water sinks, flushing toilets, baby changing stations, and free menstrual products. Each unit is equipped with 21 sensors that provide Throne’s service teams with real-time data on cleanliness, usage, and maintenance, allowing for an innovative on-demand servicing model and a consistently clean user experience.

The new funding will accelerate Throne’s growth from four regions and 20 cities to a broader national footprint. Thrones serve parks, downtown districts, waterfronts, and event venues where traditional restroom infrastructure is limited or costly to maintain. Throne’s model has already been embraced by leading transit agencies, including AC Transit, VTA, Caltrain, the Orange County Transportation Authority, and LA Metro, which partner with Throne to expand access to clean, reliable facilities for riders and staff alike. The company is currently fulfilling a 64-unit, four-year contract with LA Metro, a key milestone in providing clean, accessible restrooms across Los Angeles ahead of the 2028 Olympic Games.

“Throne delivers a clear value proposition for cities and municipal agencies: rapid and flexible deployment, an elevated user experience, and data-informed turnkey service,” said Fletcher Wilson, CEO and co-founder of Throne Labs. “We haven't lost a municipal customer yet, and we're excited to show the rest of the country how easy it can be to provide free, clean bathrooms to the public, without the cost, inflexibility and hassle of traditional infrastructure."

“Throne is addressing one of the most fundamental infrastructure challenges, reliable access to clean public restrooms with a durable, high-quality solution that cities and users truly value,” said Eric Reiter, Partner at Brentwood Associates. “Every city we’ve spoken with highlights the same strengths: exceptional cleanliness, reliability, and a professional, responsive team. Fletcher and his leadership group have a bold, actionable vision for transforming essential urban services, and we’re proud to support Throne’s continued growth.”
